So our trip went ok. If you've not known, we were a bit perturbed about crossing the borders and the possibilities of trouble with immigration, but it seems that I was correct in my assumption of how they would interpret the law and we had no problems at all which should hopefully mean entry into Ukraine will likewise be without trouble. There is still the threat of not being allowed back into Ukraine, but I would think if that was the case we would have been fined trying to leave.
The conference is great so far and we've enjoyed meeting with old friends and superb worship and great teaching. Leah's sickness has made it hard sometimes, but we've got medication for her now so hopefully it will pass. Please pray for her recovery.
I was checking out something in 2 Peter today and hope it might encourage you. Cool verses:
But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:5-11
